In silence and movement you can show the reflection of people, 2011
socially engaged performance art

This work of socially engaged performance art was commissioned as part of Art Month Sydney. The performance was presented on the lawns of the Museum of Contemporary Art in front of a construction site. To blend in, the performers were dressed as tradespeople in yellow overalls, hardhats and black boots, moving sheets of  ‘glass’ around the space.

During the performance some spectators started polishing the ‘glass’, others ran through sheets of  ‘glass’ smashing them into shards, while others started carrying their own sheets of  ‘glass’.

This work was adapted and performed at Brenda May Gallery, Sydney in 2011 that saw the performers installing three huge panes of ‘glass’ in the Gallery.

This work includes a series of photographs and an installation.
